Running an Android App in your PC is not an easy task until the release of Google’s ‘App Runtime for Chrome (ARC) project’.

In this post, I will show you how can you easily run your favorite Android app on PC. It only takes a couple of minutes to get started.

So let’s start.

With over 77% market share Android enjoys the largest market share in terms of the app. But many of us wanted a way to run this android app on our PC.

Earlier aimed only for developers but now ‘App Runtime for Chrome (ARC) project’ is available to all to test.Sometime loading/viewing an app in a big screen has many benefits like debugging and examining the app in more details.

Steps For Loading Android App on Your PC

Step 1: Download the Latest Version of Chrome Browser (if you don’t have that)

Step 2: Go to ‘Extensions’ and Search for ‘ARC Welder

Step 3: Install ‘ARC Welder ‘

Step 4: Click on the ‘Launch app’ option under ‘ARC Welder ‘

Step 5: Download the desired APK file of the app.

Step 6: The Click on ‘Choose’ button and select the APK of your desired app.

Step 7: Select your app orientation (Landscape/Portrait)and you are done!

Your favorite app is now ready to run on your PC!

ARC Welder supports Chrome for Linux, Windows, and OS X systems.

Earlier there are android emulators like BlueStacks  which also enables you the same facilities but it can slow the whole system often times.

    This is something totally new that I wasn’t aware of, I only knew that if you want to run whatsapp on pc, you need to install bluestack first and that is the default option I used to choose each and everytime. But looks like this is a much better option to the bluestack crashing now and than. Will definitely give it a try. Thanks for sharing, keep posting such articles.
